Lohrberg Hill

We had a wonderful outdoor adventure- we took the train to Frankfurt‘s last wineyard high up on the Lohrberg hill.
We didn’t only find the wineyard but also the Main Äppel Haus which deals with all things Apple related, because in Frankfurt and Hessen we drink more apple wine than grape wine nowadays. 
We had to have an apple themed snackie and drinkie of course! Then we met a very special creature living on a nearby tree and had a little chat before buying a few things (local honey among them!!) in the little shop and continuing our wander. 
It was a nice sunny day with beautiful views of the skyline and flowering shrubs everywhere. Who would have thought this beautiful place was so near!?
