Hi fellow plushies (and hoomans)!

It’s almost unbelievable what Nature is capable of!
As some of you know, in early spring I had the photographer sow my sunflower seeds into tiny pots. This was while we were still living in Offenbach.
With the house and the move and everything, all priorities were set differently (wrong of course!) and what was the result?!? My sunflowers had to remain in their tiny pots for much longer than they should have and when they were finally planted into the garden they were scraggly little things that didn’t really grow.
But! Now! After months and months of waiting, watering, willing and watching, they have developed into beary pretty specimens, or what do you think?
I have measured them and they are much taller than last year’s potted sunflowers, these here are over 2 meters, which I find very wonderful! Also, they are a home for spiders and bugs and a source of nourishment for our bees now and for the birds later, when they bear seeds.
Because of their unpromising beginnings, I didn’t dare participate in the annual @paellathepuffin and @theo_bear_uk‘s #plushiesunflowerchallenge2025 but I thought they might bring you joy regardless on this hopefully great Saturday!
Sending plushie hugs and late summer vibes to everyone!
